For a good laugh, check out the hilarious story of the streaking Kenosha County teen.  His dad bet him $300 if he went through with it.  Well, he did, and he got caught!  The 18-year-old was charged with Lewd and Lacivious behavior.  His fine:  753 bucks!  I realize he was breaking the law, but wow that seems a bit steep for what he did.  I'd love to hear your thoughts.

First of all, I find the idea of streaking across the lake extremely amusing. Sounds like something we would have done (did) when I was in high school. Secondly, I think I'd take the court date and try to get it reduced. After all, there was no malicious intent. Just a naked prank!

I hope Daddy pays the fine. Maybe father and son will both learn something.

I'd let the kid go, and fine the father.........$1,506.00, AND court costs for being a bad influence on his child.

I found this story pretty funny and I laughed, but I laughed even harder because instead of DAD being out $300 he is out $753

Their family tradition is costing them $ $ $

LOL LOL LOL

Sorry, I'm with Garageman on this one. Who did he really hurt? It's not like he was some pervert, preying on innocent victims...just a little moon-shining if you will. Boys have done it for eons. How many have done it during a sports event or pep rally? This fine is way too extreme.

I would have to agree with Garageman on this one too. I found it all pretty amusing.

I missed the segment (if there was a video to it). I heard what happened. It was over a bet. What do these grown men be thinking? These days people don't be thinking. He deserved it. Who was the person who raised that boy? Someone like that need to go to church for real and get some help.

I think that this one was funny. hahahahahahaha
When my ex husband and I were together before the children, sounds a little like home back then with his family. Don't get me wrong, we had lots of fun. When we all were camping,(11 familys) we did some crazy stuff. We never got busted for skinny dipping in the lake at night.
I think that the young man should go to court and try to get a reduce ticket.

Yup, slowly, incrementally, lower the standards of civilized society. Laugh it off as a silly prank. And you wonder what's wrong with our young people today? Yeah, look in the mirror. What's next? I'll bet you $5.00 you won't punch that guy in the face as you get off the bus. Yeah, real funny.
Dolts.

Perhaps the local constabulary is tired of people streaking across the lake. So they need to make an example of someone.

I would rather have a teen perform an occasional moon-shining stunt, than a car jacking or a gas station hold up, or a drive-by shooting... let's face it folks, the fine should reflect the crime. If a teen gets a citation for disorderly conduct (i.e. fighting) said teen gets a $75 fine. Now, think...$75 for FIGHTING, verses $753 for flagging his fanny across a lake?!?! Something is obviously wrong with that theory!

The fine definitely needs to be reduced what harm did the 18 year old caused?

Fines are just way different here, Racine, Kenosha, Madison, Green Bay--wherever. I'll admit that the fine was harsh, but you got to pay for the mistake you made of streaking naked in freezing cold. Hey, at he aint the only one paying.

A fine is one thing Antoine...but make the fine FIT the crime, as stated above.

I heard that 4 squads were called. Isn't that a bit excessive?

Imagine what it looked like to the officer that first saw what was going on. He can see an older man and a younger man , remember he is 18, by a lake, taking off clothes and running naked. At that point the officer didn't know it was father and son. At that point the officer was probably pretty shocked. Can anyone say they have heard of someone doing something like this before?
The fine was way too steep. That I agree on. My main concern is why would you teach your child this? It doesn't sound like fun to me. What if the ice broke? Why would you teach your son that this is normal fun? That's what concerns me more.
I would have made the father pay the fine. Although that would be hard considering the son is 18 and a legal adult. I also would have had the father get counseling. Were they drinking alcohol? I have a hard time understanding how someone who is sober would do something so stupid.

I have met a lot of stupid people in my time. I know many people who have streaked. I would never personally do it myself, but I understand the whole adrenalin rush thing one gets from it. I have never heard of anyone streaking across the lake...past a girl's house-maybe, at a sporting event-probably, at a pep rally-on occasion...but never across a lake. We cannot hold a parent responsible for the actions of their 18 year old son. He can legally vote, make his own decisions and be held accountable for his own bills, so this one's on the kid. I could tell all 4 of my kids that are over 18 to go streak across the lake...they'd say either "No way!" or "You first!"

Not all ,or for that matter many ,18 year olds are mature enough to make logical decisions. His dad offered him $300. That's a lot of money to an 18 year old.
That's like dangling steak in front of a lion.
