It's Friday. Did you wear red?

For those of you who remember me: The Thought Police failed. :-)

 

Do you have a red shirt on today? It's Friday. It's supposed to show your support for the troops. I'm reminded of a cadence, drilled into my "grape" by a Drill Instructor at Parris Island.

 Back in 1775
My Marine Corps came alive
First there came the color gold
To show the world that we are bold
Then there came the color red
To show the world the blood we shed
Then there came the color green
To show the world that we are mean
Then there came the color blue
To show the world that we are true

 

The Marine Corps flag is a field of RED with GOLD lettering, honoring the BLOOD shed by the BOLD defending this country and the freedoms we all enjoy.

Was your American Flag "Hecho en Mexico"? China?

Got a red shirt I wear every Friday. Thanks for the cadence I will try and remember it. And unfortunately my flag was made in China. When It is old and torn I will replace it with one that was made in America.

I do try but today I am riding so you can't see it under my jacket ! Sorry , and no I have never bought a flag that was not made in America ...that is a bit of a misnomer.

I don't wear the red shirt, but that doesn't mean I don't support our troops. Anyone who's read my blogs about them would know that. Just take a look at my photo album if you don't believe me.

I wear red mostly anyway, my favorite color. I don't need to make any specific day since I wear it so much already! I also mounted the American Flag on the back of my bike so it waves where ever I may ride to! Even my bike is red!

My family and I wear RED every Friday. We are a very Proud Retired military family. We also fly an American made flag at home and on our Harley's.
God Bless Our Troops!!!!
