I've been to a couple Dollar Store and Dollar Generals since the toy recalls were announced and I'm still seeing the recalled toys on the shelves. I know the big named stores have taken the toys off the shelves so why haven't the dollar stores?

I honestly think that if they took the recalled toys off the shelves, they wouldn't have any toys to sell. Buyer's beware.

According to some of the other posted blogs, the toys containing lead are at Wal-Mart only. Wal-Mart is the only one that has toys from China.
Seriously, you should call the General Office and report that store. The child you save maybe your own.

I'm thinking on asking Contact 2 to go into the stores with a hidden camera and see what they find.

I'd go straight to the manager and demand an explanation.

We're having a special Contact 2 undercover investigation about toy safety, specifically lead paint, tomorrow (Thurs) night on FOX 2 News at 9.

Well if you tell Dollar General to quit selling they will probably start showing up at flea markets.... They need to be sent back or Burned......

You know people will sell them at yard sales.

I had some of the toys that were pictured in the recall, but they were manufactured before the lead problem (supposedly).
Maybe the toys on the shelves are the same toy, but a different serial number. Geez, nowadays who knows?

kadas:

Walmart hater you may be! But you need to get a grip and realize that MATTEL is your company to attack! Walmart is simply a distributor and is one of many retail stores that sells MATTEL products!! HEELLLOOO

You could make millions selling on ebay?
look what they did to Jarts! a 7 dollar game gets ban in thye US and NOW you have to pay upper 40's dollar that is, for the game.
just because a bunch of drunks put some in the top of kids head.
Thanks for the tip bloggers, I'm going to the Dollar store and stocking up for Ebay.
Low pay brings the worse out of people!!!!

The stores sell different items and they probably got a thing over their register about taking certain items off the shelf that was listed on the memo.

My name's Matt. I've lived in north county all of my life and I love this place. The people, the atmosphere, and the action. I consider myself a fire buff which basically means that I love every general aspect of fire fighting.
