I have a couple of links that may help people who are in need right now. I work in a collections call center and know that things are very tight and people are in trouble. Hopefully if you are in need this may help either with your mortgage or in general somehow.

First of all - contact your mortgage company. If for some reason you are not satisfied with who you are speaking to please do not hesitate to ask to speak to someone else or ask to speak to a manager.

Hope Now is an alliance between HUD approved counseling agents, servicers, investors and other mortgage market participants that provides free foreclosure prevention assistance. There is no charge for going through Hope Now.

FHA

If you have a FHA loan you may be able to contact the FHA for assistance or refinance (sometimes even if delinquent) into a FHA loan (through FHA Secure or another similar program).

If you have a VA loan try contacting the VA. They may be able to point you in the right direction or give you advice as well.
