Basher51's Bluff and Bluster

Why is it that SUV's "careen out of control", but the drivers never lose control of their SUV?  It makes it sound like a Ford Explorer suddenly got a mind of its own and took off on a killing spree?

While I'm at it, how come a Volkswagen Passat never "careens out of control"?  Chevy Impala's never seem to "careen out of control" either.

But SUV's always seem to "careen out of control".  Never the driver--just the vehicle.

Just curious......

Chevy Impala's tend to be police cars.....always tuned-for speed.

If the driver loses control, you have to blame the driver, right? If the vehicle loses control, well, who you gonna blame? The vehicle, the manufacturer, the dealer, the Department of Transportation? The city or the county or the state for making crappy roads? The possibilities are endless here. The blame never stops - it grows. So much better for lawsuit avenues than just blaming the driver. You can sue for a whole lot more when you go after governments and businesses as opposed to individuals.

I'm a middle-aged guy who is somewhat overweight and desperately trying to get into the shape that I was 25 years ago. I'm a retired firefighter (City of Waukesha) and I now work as an inspector for insurance companies. I love the work and since I'm an independent contractor I get to set my own schedule. I am also a track chaplain with Motor Racing Outreach Association and minister at Slinger Speedway. As for hobbies, I enjoy watching all types of stock car racing, and am devoted to fishing, travel, photographing Great Lakes ore carriers. I'm a member of the International Defensive Pistol Association and compete locally in action pistol competition.
