Basher51's Bluff and Bluster

by Basher51 from Sussex

Last Post 7 minutes Ago

Someone hacked into Sarah Palin's private e-mail account and has spread the information from it all over the internet.  Private family photos, information, personal communication...all of it.

Odd, the liberals who last year were so up in arms that they were demanding the impeachment of the president because we were listening to phone calls among al Qaeda terrorists have so far been astoundingly silent.  They were so worked up about privacy rights yet today, not a one of them has spoken.

Are the rules different when it is a female conservative politician whose right to privacy has been violated?

ColbyDog, ifilus, and the other liberal bloggers here:  Where are you on this?  Why aren't you up in arms over this injustice?

I would be pursuing a lawsuit here - hacking is illegal and people do have a right to privacy.

[Caroline Kennedy (Schlossberg) and Ellen Alderman have written two books together on civil liberties:

In Our Defense: The Bill of Rights In Action (1990) and
The Right to Privacy (1995)]

I'm thinking that there is a connection between this and the fact that 30 or so Obama operatives have descended on Alaska looking for any dirt that the Obama campaign can fling at Sarah Palin.

Can you say: "Liberals have a double standard!"

I just hope there is some news about some Obama ops being shown the "proverbial door" in a very traditional sort of way at places where they will no doubt be buying drinks and trying to get someone to say anything bad about Ms. Palin.

And no doubt, that would get the Libs claiming civil rights violations!

Well the guy surrendered so we'll see what happens to him. It does suck. Hopefully the governor learns from this incident. I know she's not super computer saavy, but using yahoo or gmail isn't the best security choice.

And it just so happens that the guys's father is a democrat the Tennessee legislator. How funny is that??? Remember when all of the tires were slashed on voting day in Milwaukee? Whose kids did that?? And they think Palin's daughter being pregnant is something they get to use against her? What about their kids actions? Oh wait, two sets of rules here.

I'm a middle-aged guy who is somewhat overweight and desperately trying to get into the shape that I was 25 years ago. I'm a retired firefighter (City of Waukesha) and I now work as an inspector for insurance companies. I love the work and since I'm an independent contractor I get to set my own schedule. I am also a track chaplain with Motor Racing Outreach Association and minister at Slinger Speedway. As for hobbies, I enjoy watching all types of stock car racing, and am devoted to fishing, travel, photographing Great Lakes ore carriers. I'm a member of the International Defensive Pistol Association and compete locally in action pistol competition.
