Hmmm.  Just heard an interesting rumor about the democrats.  It goes like this:  Joe Biden, who is not greatly interested in the vice presidency, resigns and suggests Hillary take his place.  Hillary's 18 million supporters swing back to her side.  John McCain and Sarah Palin are dumped by women voters....and the democrats win the election.  It is just about too late for Obama man to admit he cannot win this election without Hillary....and the DNC's light bulb just went on that they lost this election by shoving Hillary OUT.  I, personally, feel that if THAT happened, the Democrats would go in by a landslide....and McCain would be stuck with his bimbo choice....hmmm.  Maybe she could go back to Alaska and do...........something that she is qualified for......hmmmmm.

"Joe Biden, who is not greatly interested in the vice presidency"

You have a Candidate who doesn't want to be in the race and see nothing wrong with that?

And you call Palin a bimbo.

Interesting and I believe Senator Clinton would smash Palin in a VP debate. That would be a classic and knockout debate hands down. I have met Senator Clinton more then once and have always been impressed by her fortitude and passion for this country. I think it is just a rumor….

Biden may not be interested in the VP slot and - sometimes, it shows in his speech delivery but, he is a valuable asset to the Democrats, in that, he's well versed and knowledgeable in foreign policy & diplomatic diplomacy....

Well...Reddog...We never hear much out of Biden and recently he did speak and openly spoke of Hillary Clinton very respectfully and said she was more qualified than he is...a true gentleman...however, he does not have the hunger and passion that most do. Don't get me wrong...I like Biden and would have selected him as Hillary's running mate. Palin IS a bimbo...I call em like I see em...sorry if it offends your republican senses..that was not my purpose. Wifemom, you are so right...I'd bet Palin would NEVER debate Hillary Clinton...I deeply respect Hillary Clinton, and quite frankly, have to say that she was/is the best presidential material out there. We have no strong candidate now....we, meaning the American people.

By the way...that rumor is allllll over the south, now. My mom just got off the phone after telling me it is all over the talk circuit in Florida.....hmmmmmmm....could save Obama....but, I don't think the democrats are that smart...they've been pretty dumb so far...but we'll see, huh?

Ave,

We got race, gender, age, sex scandal! This has truly been one helluva political cycle. Now, to change a running mate at the 10-yard line? WOW !!!!

Ms. AveMaria22

I have not heard that and I’m from the South and still have family and friends living in South Carolina but will ask around.

But I do agree that Mr. Biden doesn’t seem to have the hungry or maybe the passion for the campaign of VP. Clearly his experience is notable but where is the fire? Only if that rumor was true this indeed would be history. I respect and admire Senator Hillary and applaud her in making authentic cracks in the glass ceiling through hard work.

MrsSouthern...go further south...the talk show circuit in Florida is talking...and a friend says Lou Dobbs has said something about this..I do not know what...only that he said something about this very subject...yesterday????(A friend in Md. called me yesterday and told me about Lou Dobbs..so don't ask me...I did not hear it personally, but my friend is/has always been very honest and truthful.) Man...wouldn't THAT be something????? Wonder if McCain would drop his bimbo and get a REAL VP????? LOL

Now...THAT would make for a great RACE!

It would make things interesting, thats for sure. Only problem I see is that it could backfire on Obama by questioning his ability to make a good decision the first time.

Also, the Obama camp announced today they are increasing Biden's appearances in order to try to slow down the mania over Palin.

Exactly burg.

That would prove several things about Obama.

Bad choice to start with, and then to switch running mates because he is behind in the polls. Would show nothing more than his lack of ability in making good decisions. Besides I don't think his ego alone would let Hillary on the ticket.

Increasing Biden's appearances. LMAO!

Get Joe out there so he can stick his foot in his mouth some more. Priceless.

Quite frankly, those who would change sides just because that's where the woman is, aren't voting with thier brains anyway. This election should be won/lost on the issues not the gender of the candidates.
And as long as I'm posting I may as well get this off my chest. I'm getting REAL tired of every election turning into a free-for-all. All of the ads say the same thing..."vote for me because the other guy is wrong". Don't tell me he's wrong, tell me why YOU are right.
Then maybe you'll get my vote.

As much as the Clintons HATE 0bama, and 0bamas wife HATES THE CLINTONS it won't happen. They will look like flip-floppers and hard choices changed with the weather - ending up as a NO CONFIDENCE feeling from the Dems.

That certainly would solve the problem by replacing Biden with a notorious crook... what a team!

Mrs. Momofmany

I agree with your opinion about those that vote for Palin and McCain just because Palin is a woman may not understand the importance of their vote; meaning it should not be a superficial vote that is based on gender or physical appearances. But I also think that McCain switched his choice of running mate to Palin; after Senator Obama made a choice to pick Mr. Biden as his running mate instead of Senator Clinton. It does seem as though McCain and Senator Obama are playing the same old tune in the political gift of gab. There needs to be a new format added to the presidential campaign instead of all this talking and making promises that will not be kept.

Reddog...this could be a BIDEN decision...not an OBAMA decision...I think it would be a thrill to watch. And...Reddog...you are quite right about Obama's ego...he'd rather LOSE than put Hillary on the ticket...which is sheer insanity...but, you've gotta admit that move would shake up this "say nothing of substance election"....the nominees continue trumping...with no substance said. Obama always pokes his foot in his mouth when he does speak, Palin is dumb as a mud fence, too bad we can't put John McCain and Biden on one ticket.

Yes it would shake things up. But in the end I think it would hurt Obama more than help.

I think you'll be surprised with Palin. Just got to give her a chance. All these attacks sound more like fear than actual concern for her abilities.

I doubt Hillary would do it anyways. If asked she should demand she be for the #1 spot. LMAO! Can you imagine that?

If Biden bowed out it’s not a reflection on Senator Obama but on Biden. Biden had the choice to say no; therefore Biden would look like the flip-flopper of not making a decision and sticking to it. Senator Obama’s choice for VP is good but it could have been even better with Senator Clinton. Pride can stop a man or woman from doing what is best or the right thing that has cost him or her in the long run.

Senator Obama’s pride clearly interfered with his thought process and McCain let his ego not country first interfere with his decision of picking an inexperience Palin as his choice for VP. I think this is just a rumor floating around to stir publicity.

In 1972 George McGovern picked Thomas Eagleton as his running mate. Later it was revealed he had had shock treatments. He was unceremoniously dumped from the ticket 18 days after being chosen and Sergeant Shriver was picked.

I agree Ave Joe's aneurysm is going to kick up and for "health reason's" he will step down from the ticket. Then the peanut gallery will have plenty to blog about.
