WOW! Where to start:

Gays have been getting married for many years.  It was 27 years ago I went to a wedding with my parents for one of their gay friends.  The Unitarian Church married them, and they got a lawyer to situate all their assets and belongings, and willed their things to one another.  With in that same year I attended 4 such weddings.  So the problem is NOT whether or not gays can or cannot get married.  The problem is they want government to recognize and sanction their marriage, and if you think this will NOT affect anyone who is straight or has tradition family values, you are fooling yourself. 

If the Government acknowledges gay marriage, then it becomes government’s roll to impose these beliefs on people who do not believe.  How?  By teaching homosexuality in public schools, and to kids who’s families may not agree with that point of view.  In Massachusetts, where gay marriage has been sanctioned, gay storybooks have been introduced to YOUNG grade school kids!  This is not appropriate but is legal because they sanctioned gay marriage.  You are right in that it isn’t any of our business whether a gay person gets married or not, so then why is it important for these two women to sit in a courthouse to make the state recognize their marriage?  I contend they want to be ACCEPTED by government and there by causing government to make it acceptable to all.  Well, it’s NOT and nor should it be forced upon anyone.  It is bad for a society to do this!

You mentioned everyone should be equal; well let’s think about it a second...  To be equal something has to be THE SAME as something else.  Can we agree on that?

The way I love my wife is the same way as most of my male friends love their wives.  They way and how are the same thereby are equal to one another.  A man loving another man or a woman loving another woman in NOT the SAME as how I love my wife, or how my wife loves me, thereby is NOT equal.  The obvious logistical physical acts of love that IS VASTLY DIFFERENT from when a man and a woman are together, so that’s NOT equal.  The emotional relationship between and man and a woman are HUGLY different that when a man loves a man or woman loves a woman.  NOT equal at all!      

Should gays get married?  Yes, let them go to their local Unitarian Church and get a lawyer who can get them all situates to live their lives happily together forever!  Should Government sanction gay marriage?  No.  It’s bad for our society as a whole.

The love of a man and woman is what has been the standard in this country, even the world for thousands and thousands of years.  That’s how the human race has continued along the timeline.  There is something to be said for FAMILY in this world to continue on our legacies. 

This is the mentality of the Anti-war anti-Bush movement.  The HATE that gets stored in their hearts builds and builds, to the point of loosing control.  Unfortunately his hate came out against someone he supposedly loved.  These people really need to take a look at their hearts and motives and discover themselves before more people get hurt or loose their lives!

GREELEY, Colo.  -- 

Police in Greeley arrested an Iraq War veteran and charged him in connection with the murder of his estranged wife and the shooting of another man.

Police described the case a domestic violence situation that ended in gunfire Sunday night in the 4400 block of 6th St.

Police identified the woman who was killed as Nikki Cortez, 21 of Eaton. Investigators said a suspect who was charged in the case is 24-year-old Ricardo Cortez. Neighbors said the two had been married.

The man who was shot is identified as Sam Jantz. Police said his sister owned the home where the shooting happened. He was in stable condition Monday with gunshot wounds to the torso.

The crime tape stretched across several yards, because the two victims in this case were found in two different places.

When police were called at 11:00 p.m. Sunday, they found a man lying near the roadway in front of one home. He had been shot. Then, officers were directed to a home a few doors away. Inside, they found a woman dead. She'd also been shot.

Police were questioning Cortez and talking to witnesses Monday morning.

“There are many witnesses involved in this. Because of the hour, 11 at night,” said Brad Goldschmidt of the Greeley Police Department. “A lot of people were still up. Those that weren't heard the shots and were awakened. So (there are) a lot of people to talk to and a lot of evidence to process.”

The Greeley Tribune reported that Cortez participated in a protest of the Iraq War that he organized on March 20 (See picture of Cortez at the protest courtesy of the Greeley Tribune. He was arrested five days after that on charges that included second-degree assault and false imprisonment.

Last week, he agreed to a plea bargain in the case. Sentencing in that case was scheduled for November 1.

Neighbors said Nikki and Ricardo Cortez married last year, and that they had lived in the area during that time period.
