I watched Senator McCain on television yesterday advocating secure borders saying that he got the message from the voters on the failed "Comprehensive Immigration Reform". Why did it take so long? Quite frankly, I don't believe him. I'm sure that there are many Arizona voters that feel betrayed by McCain and Kyle on the immigration issue.
Why was it so difficult to initially oppose this 'silent invasion'? I can't for the life of me understand why anyone with an ounce of common sense would support millions of undocumented immigrants illegally entering our country, Was it for cheap labor? What benefits are we gaining in this country, unless one considers overcrowded schools, an overburdened criminal justice system and the exorbitant costs of providing "free" medical care to illegal aliens a national benefit.
Why are we in this country expected to pay the enormous costs of educating, housing and providing medical care for Mexico's and the world's castoffs? When is Mexico going to take responsibility for it's people? It appears that the Mexican government openly encourages migration to the United States instead of taking responsibility for the care and welfare of millions of Mexicans. And then those that sneak into the country illegally have the gall to openly fly the Mexican flag in our streets and demand their "rights".
Do you understand Senator McCain why so many Americans are turned off and unsympathetic to illegal aliens? We have had enough. Too bad you got the message too late.
