Happy "Natinal bring your teddy bear to work and school day"! Don't worry about the wierd looks your co-workers may give you, bring in that Teddy and sit 'em right on your desk, or wherever your workspace may be! Also today, people all around the world will recognize the "international day for natural disaster reduction", national coming out day, and Gen Pulaski memorial day. And if you know who General Pulaski was without having to google it, then give yourself a high five, because you are a smart, smart person.

Tomorrow, get ready to let out a years worth of steam, it the "international moment of frustration scream day"! Everyone in the world is susposed to go outside a 12:30 our time and scream for 30 seconds. Besides breaking windows all across the world, if everyone screams, the world will be knocked off it's orbit, not to mention you'll feel a lot better!

So break out the Teddy and warm up your vocal cords!

Check out the line on former phil Bobby Abreu, playing in his first playoff game as a yankee: 2 for 5 with a run and 4, count 'em 4 rbi's! And even when he grounded out, have you ever seen Bobby Abreu run so fast in your life? That makes me sick. He half-assed it for years here in philly then goes to New York and is suddenly reborn into a hard working player. What did George Steinbrenner say to Bobby to make him work so hard? Either way, it's just another typical story of what happens when an athlete leaves Philadelphia for better things. I am not bitter for Bobby leaving the phils, the way he carried himself in the outfield was deplorable, not to mention the only time he ever did anything meaningful at the plate came when the game was well out of hand. But Bobby, at least show the yankee fans the lazy play we had to deal with for years.

Today is Ten-Four Day. It recognizes radio operators, truck drivers, officers, etc. that use ten four when acknowledging info over the radio. So try to say "10-4" at some point today, it's a lot of fun, and you get the weirdest loks from people. I'm taking it a step further and saying "10-4 good buddy (while grunting)".

Tomorrow is a personal favorite, it's World Teacher Day. For those that don't know me, my wonderful loving girlfriend teaches fourth grade at West Oak Lane charter school. So a day that recognizes her and other teachers that work countless hours in and out of the classroom is very much deserved.

10-4 everybody!

Happy National "attend your grandchild's birthday day", and VFW day. It's a great day to be a grandfather, grandmother, or grand-veteran, or anything grand for that manner!

For the Weekend there's a bunch of holiday's to keep you busy, although Hallmark doesn't make a card for them!

Tomorrow, September 30th is National Pumpkin Day so be sure to pick up your pumpkin as we are only a month away from Halloween. Tomorrow's also Family Health and Fitness Day USA. According to the Local First Forecast it's supposed to be nice tomorrow so head out and do something that requires a little exercise with the fam.

Sunday, October first is World Vegetarian Day, so give all the veggie lovers a break! Sunday is also International Day of Older Persons, and last but not least, National Fire Pup Day! Pick up a box of milkbones and head down to the firehouse, I'm sure Spot will love you for it!

The beginning of October also marks the beginning of several Crazy Wacky Fun Month-long observances. Some of them include, Billiard Awareness Month, National Chili Month, National Cookie Month, National Pajama Month, National Roller Skating Month, and my personal favorite: "Go Hog wild- Eat country ham" Month. Anything that gives me an excuse to go "hog wild" for an entire month is fine by me!

Lastly and kinda ironically, it's National Spinach Month. Now the FDA says it's ok to eat spinach, but I don't really eat spinach to begin with, and I'm not about to start after the recent cases of E-coli illnesses reported in Philly and across the country.

Either way, enjoy all the crazy wacky fun holidays our crazy wacky country is celebrating this month!

Today is National Fishtank Floorshow Night (sorry, it's a slow day in the world of crazy wacky fun holidays). Here's what it's all about. Families that own an aquarium spend time watching their fish every day of the year, well tonight is for them! Families are encouraged to set up performances i.e. singing, dancing, etc. right in front of the fish tank. Sound Crazy? Absolutely, I do not own a fishtank, but I think I would definitely break out a full on MC Hammer- You can't touch this, breakdown. But then I wouldn't tell anyone about it, ever!

Happy Fishtank Floorshow night!

Tomorrow you can look forward to "National Attend Your Grandchild's Birthday Day"! Have we really come that far, that you actually need a holiday in order for you to go to your grandkids birthday?

And from grandchildren to grandfathers, tomorrow is also National VFW Day. So wish our veterans well by heading down to your local VFW and enjoying the cheap beer!

So apparently a police report says Terrell Owens tried to kill himself by overdosing on pain medication. No really, he did:

DALLAS (AP) -- Flamboyant Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens attempted suicide by overdosing on pain medication, even putting two more pills into his mouth after fire rescue personnel arrived.
A Dallas police report released Wednesday morning said Owens told rescue workers "that he was depressed." The report was first released by WFAA-TV.
The rescue worker "noticed that (his) prescription pain
medication was empty and observed (Owens) putting two pills in his mouth," the police report said.
The worker attempted to pry them out with her fingers, then was told by Owens that before this incident he'd taken only five of the 40 pain pills in the bottle he'd emptied. The worker then asked Owens "if he was attempting to harm himself, at which time (he) stated, `Yes."'

Are you kidding me? The most full of himself, thinks he's god's gift to football, person tried to end his own life.

If this is actually true, does that show that's underneath his self-absorbed facade, he's really depressed and hit rock bottom?

I'm crossed right now, I almost feel bad for wishing bad things on his life after what he did to the eagles last year, but after all, it is TO and this could be just another stunt. I bet next week we'll se TO and Drew Rosenhaus on Dr. Phil!

Next Question!

So I'm breaking my "myfoxphilly" cherry (i didn't think that was possible!) so what better way than to really identify what a blog is.

dictionary.com says a blog is "an online diary; a personal chronological log of thoughts published on a Web page".

Ok so what's on my mind right now? It's the Phils getting robbed last night. If you didn't see the game, let me sum it up this way: the Phils got hosed! Chase Utley hit a three run jack off the foul pole, and the ump and Charlie Manuel both missed it. On the next pitch, chase pops out, inning over, Phils lose the game by one run. So they're one game back of the dodgers and everyone who was on the Phils bandwagon last weekend is jumping off today. Well I'm standing pat! Here's my reasoning, the Phils will do their job with Cole Hamels pitching tonight, and I am confident we'll take the final two games of this series. Next, the Dodgers will probably win two out of three against the Rockies. If that happens, we'll be in a tie for the wild card. To end the season, the dodgers go on the road to face the San Francisco Giants. The rivalry between the giants and dodgers is absolutely crazy, I mean fans there have killed each other in this (for background, check this out: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1619711). And it's no secret that the giants own the dodgers this year, so I am confident the Giants will take 2 out of 3 from the dodgers. All the Phillies need to do is win at least 2 of their last three games against the marlins, and it's 19-93 all over again!

So that's one thing another is a new personal hobby/job I've been assigned at work (and who doesn't love getting more work!) This is a cool though because I love it. I now need to send an e-mail every day identifying wacky and crazy holidays in the world. Here's what I sent out today, If I missed one, let me know!

Ok, so there were no fun holidays yesterday (9/26), "boo-hiss", but have no fear, there are many fun holidays to make up for it today!

First, it's Ancestor Appreciation Day, and they should be appreciated since if it wasn't for them living and breeding, we wouldn't be here!

It's also National Women's Health and Fitness Day. Women, and Men both love this day because women can get out and exercise, and husbands can get away with saying "honey, hit the treadmill"!

Lastly, it World Tourism Day, so when you go to the Bourse today to pick-up lunch, walk all the way through to other side (since it's national women's health and fitness day) and check out Independence Hall.

Tomorrow might be the wackiest holiday out there, it's National Fishtank Floorshow Night. Check this out, so fish are always on display for family's to look at every day of the year. They give us entertainment, and a hobby day in and day out. Well, tomorrow is for them, Families across the country do a talent show-like presentation right in front of the fishtank, (i checked, and yes, people actually do this!) So break out the costumes and the karaoke machine, and give the fish the night off!

Adventure Aquarium should be all over this!

enjoy!

So Happy Ancestor Appreciation Day kiddies!
