I decided to put this under the 'Entertainment' tab because although I feel like screaming, i am also, in part, very amused.  I just need to vent!!!

On July 1st, I placed an order with a company in Miami.  It was a gift for my son that was to have his name on it.  I was told 7-10 days.  ok...

Last week, Friday, I call to see what's up. I was told to give it until Monday. TUESDAY comes and goes, no package. I get upset and call. They tell me that someone will call me on Wednesday. Guess what--no call! HA!

Yesterday, (Thursday, the 24th) I email them and state, " I need a supervisor that speaks English to contact me ASAP".  A few minutes ago, the phone rings. i answer it and hear, "Emmmm. Ah Allo? Ken I espeekee to..."  I get annoyed. She tells me she has no order for me. By now I want to smack her. Then she says, "Ah si, jes ok mama..."She goes on to ask, "Em dees eese about dee orden for ET warto? I get more annoyed and bark, "EDWARD...it's Edward..no o"  She then asks me if i peeky pani.  Although I am perfectly fluent in both, I ask her if she is in receipt of my email.  I ask her to read it to me. She then says, "Ah Ok...I see dat now. jes dees orden deed go out on viernes, em fry-day ant ju chood get eet by too ma row."  I politely inform her that if I don't, she will be hearing from me again. .....

Perhaps,  I should be using smaller words???

80's your topic made me realize, I've lived in Miami too long as I could read your "Spanglish" with excellent understanding...LOL. Hope your package comes through ok.

LOL thanks all. Robin, my whole life was in Miami until 2003. To me, that kind of speaking is very commonplace, although ANNOYING.
I may have asked you this (sorry if I forgot!) but what school did you go to in Miami? I went to Coral Park Elem, Glades Jr. and Southwest Sr.

I hear this kind of stuff every time I call a customer service line. I believe it to be a prerequisite for getting the job.

Just curious ... since the package was shipped on 'fry-day', did it arrive 'err-lee' today? I hope so! ~ LOL

I'm glad you decided to vent here. I have gone through something similar and I think it is just ridiculous that this so-called customer service people cannot even communicate with the customers!!

YOu can do a free post at www.ripoffreport.com or a couple more shopping sites Eopinions or something like that to deter them. I am amazed at the good customer service at Microsoft lately. Got to know one guy in India and his email so I just email him and tell him I will mail anything American to him if he wants... he has become a friend.

If you ever need Domain names, Godaddy is super in customer service too.

80smetal..........THANK YOU SO MUCH.....I HAVE LAUGHED SO HARD I ALMOST FELL OFF MY CHIR......LOL.......look for what is worth I PRAY YOU GET YOUR PACKAGE..BUT I TOO FEEL YOUR PAIN, AS I WENT TO GET BREAKFAST AT MICKYDEES....ok..and this spanish lady in front of me..talking to the mcdonald employee also spanish..and I WAS GETTING REAL ANNOYED.....THIS IS FAST FOOD.....NOT SUNDAY SOCIAL....DAM IT.....the first wants leche de chocolate...then no she wants orange juuze....SO WHEN I READ THIS BLOG I THOUGHT IT WAS ME AND THE MICKEY DEE.....trauma...this morning........HUGS...deep breath..THEN I GOT AN IDEA....IF THEY ARE GOING TO SERVE IN SPANISH.....THEN MAKE A DAM SIGN......SO THAT OTHER PEOPLE DON'T HAVE TO HEAR THE BLEEP.....after all...WE ALL SHOULD KNOW THE DARN MENUS ALREADY........

Great Post...But being from Miami you have an advantage over me, I dont speak moron. Last time I was there I wasnt sure if I needed a passport to get back into my country or not. I try to make it my mission, not to deal with anyone with foreign customer service workers...but it is getting harder everyday.
I sure hope the item does not say edwardo.

80's - I was laughing so hard my side hurts! Mainly because I can relate. I get so MAD when I get these "Customer Suupport" people on the phone that are sitting over in India. "Tank you betty much."

Hope you finally got your order.
