This has been a fantastic experience!  Good to Go Delivery really continued the standard set by Pete Mattis of Sweat Fitness and Dr. Mike during our Good Day Detox.  Good to Go provided some excellent meals right to our front door, and it really took the guess work out of preparing meals ourselves.  They say it takes a few weeks to develop a solid habit and I can honestly say I'm a changed person as a result of the 28 Day Challenge.  Good to Go Delivery proved that portion control doesn't have to comprimise taste or quality.  I find myself eating less and feeling better.  This was never intended to be a "diet" but rather a lifestyle change.  I can truly say that my lifestyle has changed.  THANK YOU!

Results.  This is the fun part!

I was hoping at the beginning of this 28 Day Challenge to have learned a lot about me, my body, my eating habits and my ability to try a new workout and stick with it.  Looking back at the last month, and the struggles I felt day in and day out, but the accomplishments I achieved-- it was all worth it.

The Good to Go Delivery food is something I think I'm going to continue to use in some capacity.  It made my life so much easier having it delivered, measured in correct portions, and it taught me to try new things that I hadn't had before cooked in ways I never would have thought to try.  What a difference it makes eating healthy well rounded meals three times a day instead of snacking on whatever is nearby, or eating "somewhere quick."  I felt strong and healthy all month long, so the saying may be true, "You are what you eat."  Eat well, live well.  I did this month at least :)

The workout has me addicted and I will also continue the 015 Workout after the challenge.  I have really become fond of Mike Barretta and all the kind people at the gym (even though they TORTURE you while you are there)  It's such a great experience, and a workout I can even bring my little guy to since it's over in 15 minutes, and there is always someone to play ball with him while I'm training.  I feel strong, and am seeing muscle tone faster than with any other workout I've ever tried.  I'm hooked, this is it.

So the Challenge was a success, I accomplished things I didn't expect to, and feel better than I anticipated.

So now that it's over.. I wonder what Rob, Sheinelle, Clayton and I should do in July?  Any challenge ideas out there?!

Thanks to Lisa Guariano, and the whole 015 Team for their guidance and support.  You guys are the BEST!!!!!!!

Well... I'm sold. If anyone asks me about a "meal plan" or any "weight loss plan"... I'd tell them about these Good to Go Delivery Meals. In fact, I'm going to continue this plan next month. It is just soooo easy, and it makes it extremely easy to eat healthy.

Working a morning shift can be tough, and eating the right foods is extremely important. With this meal plan, I don't have to worry about making sure I'm eating the right things.  It's all planned out for you, according to how many calories you want in a day.

And.... I've noticed a difference in my waistline too... which is a nice bonus. :)  Seriously... if you're on the go, and you have a hectic lifestyle like I do... you might want to consider it.  Beef tenderloin, turkey sausage, pasta, club sandwiches... I could go on and on.... the food is great, and I feel healthy. No complaints from me this week! :) I'm making progress!!

See you in the morning.

Ok so I have missed several days but I have some great news !  I have lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks and my energy is through the roof.  The food has been great with a good variety each day. Good to Go throws in some muffins each day per my request, I love them.

The 015 workout is going well with more strength and stamina each workout.  The crippler and Runyan are tough but the payoff is worth it.  We are about 2 weeks into th program and it's is everything I thought it would be at this point.

I've lost track of what day is what!  There have been so many, and that's a good thing:)

It means we're all hanging in there, and sticking to the plan.  The food from Good to Go Delivery is easy to stick to because it's tasty and healthy and packaged for you.  So even though I was on my own for the weekend, and I ate sushi (lots of sushi) and my boyfriend BBQ'ed for me (Mother's Day!) and I ate a ton of guacamole, it was easy to get back on track Monday because those meals arrived Sunday night :)

The workout is getting easier-- not easier in terms of strength, but in terms of knowing what to do, how to do it, and how to work through the pain.  It feels so good once you're done, and I can't wait to go the next day.  Good thing, because we're still sticking to our 5 days a week workout schedule.  I'm going tonight, went last night, and did a Saturday training session.  Angelo and Mike are so good at keeping me motivated and committed.. there is something about the way they encourage me during the workout I feel like I can bench press forever!  Only problem is, the better you do, the more they expect the next time, which is a good thing, I guess!

Alright, time to prep for the 5pm.

And then my workout right after *ugh*

As Kerri-Lee said, "it's confession time."  I had a terrible weekend falling off the wagon of health.  I had dinner at Chickie's and Pete's on Friday night before the Phillies game (they won!!!), then a wedding on Saturday night with some of the best food I've ever had at a wedding, I'm talking a cheesesteak station and a Bobby Chez crab cake station!!!  Needless to say I didn't workout or eat healthy all weekend because Mother's Day bookended the 3 day buffett.  That was until I arrived home on Sunday night to find my next meal.  Thankfully Lisa and the gang over at "good to go delivery" got me back on track.  Hopefully I'm back on the health wagon!

Day 10.  I have the workout planned for after the newscast down at the gym in South Philly and yesterday, I didn't make it to the workout.  That's right, it's confession time.  I was so exhausted, had my little guy and just wanted to spend time with him and he was dying for me to go to the park and play baseball with him.  Mike and Angelo are total family guys so I knew they would understand, plus, I'm working out  tonight (Yep, on a Friday night) and I'll do another workout tomorrow to make up for missing Thursday.

Believe me, I feel like skipping it, but I figure I'm going to do it or I'm not going to do it, no half way, and actually I find myself missing it.  Didn't think I'd ever say that...

I had a delicious breakfast burrito today and cous cous, fish and veggies for lunch.  I did cheat and have some Light Butter Popcorn and a bite of the powerbar Good To Go brought to my house.   The food is such a great part of my day, I'm seriously considering continuing on with them once the month is over and getting at least a meal a day, just to make sure I'm getting what I need, and I love having the food packed for me.  It makes it so easy to eat at my desk or on the run.

Have an awesome weekend everybody, and while you're at Happy Hour having a blast tonight, think of me, DYING in a little gym tucked away behind the NovaCare Complex.

Well some bloggers are getting onboard! I got this from one of the "KL Bloggers" known as Coolerbyamile:

"Yep!!! Coolerbyamile did the Crippler! And KL - I'm sorry - but I don't know what you're whining about. I thought it was a piece of cake!!! KIDDING!!! It's deadly - in a great way! There's so much involved in one simple move. Actually - it's not a 'move' - it's more of a 'position'. So much to think about....shoulders, arms, lower back, butt, thighs, knees, feet, abs and then on top of all that - you have to BREATHE a certain way. Who knew breating could be so intense! But I loved it and definitely want to do it again."

It was great having Cooler come out, and she's still alive to talk about it.  She did tell me she now knows why Mike and Angelo are known as the "Duo of Death" for their murderous training ways.. I love them :)

Another note, this one comes from my Executive Producer, Leigh Meier-- she said when someone was being penalized in ROTC back when she was in it, they would make them stand with their back against the wall and hold a rifle for 5 minutes.  Hmm.... so an ROTC punishment uses the same move as my new workout?  Something is wrong here!!

Anway, delicious food today-- yummy breakfast (yesterday's Peachy French Toast was to die for) of an Egg/Ham Sandwich and fruit.  Lunch was also very tasty-- Herbed Chicken and Sweet Potato wedges.  Dinner?  Can't wait..

My workout will be tonight at 7pm.  I CAN wait for that...

So the Crippler crippled me.. what's new, I limped away but felt awesome about it once the burn disappeared from my thighs.

The Runyans (it's called that because Jon Runyan couldn't do it) also kicked my butt.. my arms felt like jelly as I tried to crawl out of the "Electric Chair."  It's an appropriate name for it.

But the food?

The best part of my day.. so delicious, even though I went home last night and shared a whole pile of steaming Edamame with my little guy (he loves soybeans, calls them "peas.")

I'm off to 015 tonight, I'll let you know what the torture masters do to me in the torture chamber.  And one of our blogger's is trying it out with me-- Coolerbyamile!

Now to go down my powerbar from Good to Go before the 5pm :)

Okay... so I'm a little behind on my update-- but let me tell you... it's working! Now I I'm not *just* doing this to lose pounds... but hey-- it can't hurt. I weighed in at 123 when I started this whole processs... and now I'm at 118. (So that's nice.) The goodtogodelivery meals are really working for me, because your calories are completely controlled.  (Now yesterday-- I must admit... I made some mistakes.) I have a cold, so I believe in "feeding" a cold... so with the help of Mrs. Field's cookies... well... -- I fed my cold..... fed my cold a couple of cookies....and some cheddar preztels.... and some granola bars.....

Now, let's talk about this 015 workout-- it is brutal, but great at the same time! I did the "electric chair".... my thighs started shaking  until they couldn't take it anymore! It's only 15 minutes-- but it's a killer.  In addition to the 015 workout, I'm still trying to run and exercise at least 3 days a week. I'm running outside... maybe that's why I'm having an allergy attack. Alright--  that's my update! See you in the morning! :)

Yep, I had a cheesesteak on Sunday.

Remember, I'm not trying to lose weight, so I didn't fall off the wagon or anything, but it probably wasn't the best choice in the world.  I did walk about 3 miles around Center City (instead of driving, I walked to Walnut Street, then walked to Jim's at 4th and South) but it was worth it.  Man oh man, whiz, wit, and mushrooms too!

Monday-- the "duo of death" came to FOX and we did the Crippler in the Green Room and the good news is I've gotten better at it, the bad news is, it took longer to "break me down" as the duo of death likes to call it.  So the pain, and agony lasted even longer, and that was an ugly 15 minutes.  I had to use the board of wood that you use to work your abs and arms as a cane to stand once it was all over.

Ate all my meals and enjoyed every last one of them-- I love the power bars for snacks too.  They are soooo tasty (my 2 year old also loves them and once he sees me with one, he insists it's his and won't stop asking for it until I share it with him!!)

I'll blog about Tuesday, Day 8 once the 015 guys have come and gone.. ugh... they're here in 40 minutes.

I'm going to enjoy my cheese, roast pepper and chicken wrap with my pear and ricotta cheese snack :)

Well just like Clayton I fell off the wagon a bit over the weekend.  Good thing GO-TO-GO got me back on track today.  I did sneak in a late nuight slice with a few fox friends at SOHO pizza on Market.  I also treated myself to a burger with the kids over the weekend.

Today the good to go meals were great and totally different from last week.  I love the variety of muffins and requested those almost everyday and they came right through for me.  I like how the plan can be changed according to what I like. I did up my intake a bit due to the workout of 015.  So far so good.  I feel my legs getting stronger and the workouts are more intense.

Oh yeah the best part about tonight was the mini-cheese cake.  Oh it's hard to believe I am losing weigh with all the great food !

I write this, as I'm preparing for Day 7 (we don't count the weekends) and it has taken me this long to be able to move over to my computer... no, I'm just kidding.  But I have felt every muscle in my body cry out since Friday.  No joint pain, but I'm feeling the workout really saturate all parts of my body, and even though it was Friday night and I TOTALLY felt like blowing off the torture, I mean, workout, I didn't.  Rob and I drove down together from the station and he did his first, then me.

The extra power bars have been great, they've taken the edge off the hunger I was feeling (Thank you Lisa!) and the meals remain delicious, nutritious and so gourmet-- the fresh herbs and seasonings are really impressive.  It's not just a meal in a container.  It's something Mom might make, and then a chef might throw a wand of rosemary branch onto-- it's such a treat to eat like this.

I was thinking-- the Good to Go meal service would be great for times that I'm so busy and know I'm not going to have a chance to cook, but I still want to eat right.  I'm going to ask Lisa if you can get a delivery for a week or two at a time, without always committing to the month long plan.  Brides looking to maintain or lose weight before their wedding, busy working professionals who know the next two weeks are going to be a bear, or those looking to reign in poor eating habits and get back on track would benefit from a short term plan.  However, if you could work it into your budget, I would say this is a great service 5 days a week-- it ends up being less than eating out everyday.  And I just can't say enough about the food... yum!

This weekend I had Sushi at Shinju (love it there) and went to Whole Foods for a couple of light breakfast items ( fruit, granola) coffee, and a rice krispie square from Starbucks (I'm only human) and I walked to Walnut Street to go shopping and have lunch at Cosi instead of driving.  It was windy, but a nice day, and very sunny.

So that wraps up Day 4, 5, and 6.

I cringe to think of what Dr. Death (Mike Barretta) has in store for Day 7..

Hey!  Food is arriving for tomorrow in about an hour!! Yippee!!

I'm starting to feel the worklout more and more and my technique is getting better and better. The 015 workout, which is only 15 minutes a day is about breathing and form. This evening I did 4 sets of squats but in a different way.  My thighs were shot in 5 minutes which means I reached my goal of the burn.  I also did some bench pressing without reps, yeah no reps.  You hold the weight and use breathing and posture as the working force here.

Go to go was great today.  Banana Oatmeal bars with turkey sausage for breakfast.  A nice steak and blue cheese wrap for lunch.  I snacked on some chips with hummus.  I traded my dinner with last night so I had the pork tenderloin with red peppers, onions and mixed veggies.  I be up for another snack later on.  Energy level again very high.  The workout gets your blood flowing and the meals keep you from being sluggish. It's a perfect fit.  Have a great weekend !

Alright... so good news... I'm making progress! I'm trying to shed a few pounds, and tone up for my wedding. This morning on the show-- I weighed in at 119 pounds.  I was around 124 about 3 weeks ago.  (Keep in mind I'm on 4' 11''.... so I eat a bagel and you see it in my cheeks!)----But anyway.... trust me... I wouldn't just say this if I didn't mean it... these "good to go" meals make a major difference. It essentially takes all of the thinking out of eating healthy. As long as you stick to the prepared meals, you can't mess up! And I like them because they don't taste like "packaged meals." It's more like homecooked, fresh food.

Now I still have to try the 15 minute workouts-- I think I'll give that a go starting Monday... but I have been exercising. Now that the weather is nicer... I'm trying to make it a point to do some kind of activity outside.

Well... I won't type a novel... but I wanted to check in.  Here's my thought for the day: "losing weight is simple math!"  Fewer calories... exercise.... results happen. --- I'm inspired... well see how long this inspiration lasts! :)

(((Especially since we're heading into a weekend!)))

See you in the morning! :)
